Current Styles Offered
Classical Ballet
Ballet provides fundamental technique that supports all other types of dance. Ballet builds the neuropathways necessary to perform complex choreography with a keen sense of musicality. It teaches strength, endurance, gracefulness, self-awareness, confidence, and teamwork. Ballet is the core focus of Camden Ballet Theatre.

Pointe
Pointe classes are offered to dancers who meet the qualifications, including a minimum of one full year with twice a week pre-pointe classes, and adhere to the technique class requirements during the nine month season and the three month summer season. Dancers interested in pointe classes may set up an appointment with the Artistic Director.

Pas de deux
Partnering lessons are offered to eligible dancers in Ballet 4, 5, and 6. Dancers must be 12-17 years old and meet the technique standards and pointe requirements. *We do not partner adults with minors in our studio. Adult partnering classes are offered separately to qualified dancers ages 18+.

Jazz
The classic jazz style we teach at CBT reflects Broadway and Theatrical techniques. We do not teach provocative or sensual movement styles in our studio. *Jazz classes come with a prerequisite of a minimum of one ballet class per week.

Tap
We teach the foundations of tap dancing at CBT, focusing on rhythm and technique.

Contemporary
Contemporary style dancing is offered to dancers in Ballet 3, 4, 5, & 6 who demonstrate strong ballet technique and agility and can adapt to new movement patterns without losing form integrity.

Creative Movement
For our young wiggly dancers, we offer this energetic movement class that helps them develop their fine motor skills and tap into their creativity! We do a lot of finger play songs, basic music and rhythm counting, imaginative movements with props, stretching and balancing.

Preschool Ballet
A playful introductory ballet class for little ones ages 3-5. This class does not perform in the recital and has a shorter commitment of 8 sessions. *Children must be fully potty trained to attend. The next round of sessions will be announced in October.

Musical Theatre
Our musical theatre programs include vocal, dance, and acting training and typically conclude in a complete licensed broadway musical or a piece in one of our showcases. *Musical theatre students are required to take at least one ballet class per week.
